Ryan Pudney is relishing Glenmuir PGA Professional Championship debut
Ryan Pudney is gearing up for his debut in the prestigious Glenmuir PGA Professional Championship which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year.
The Mundesley head pro, who reached a national final in Turkey last year, is aiming for a strong finish in the 78,000 Glenmuir final which is being staged at De Vere Carden Park from August 7-10.
It will be Pudney's first appearance in the Peugeot-supported event since becoming a fully qualified PGA professional two years ago.
Pudney admits he has been happy with his achievements during that time having also qualified for last year's PGA Pro-Captain Challenge and narrowly missing out on this year's PGA National Pro-Am Championship.
'If you'd said to me when I became head professional at Mundesley that I would get to one PGA final and just miss out on another, I'd have taken that,' he said.
