City of Norwich AC's popular Boxing Day Road Relay looks set to attract another wide range of runners for this year's event in Eaton Park, Norwich.

The event is headquartered at The Farmhouse public house on the corner of Colman Road and South Park Avenue, Norwich and the action takes place in Eaton Park (a one-minute jog round the corner from The Farmhouse).

The race follows a simple format over four stages, and all runners - members of UKA clubs and unattached alike - are very welcome.

Runners sign in at The Farmhouse from 10am (£4 each, minimum age 11 years), and then teams of four - each of one woman and three men - are drawn at random from a hat at 10.45am.

Each team decides its own running order and gives itself a name before the focus moves to Eaton Park for the start of the race, at approximately 11am.

Every runner completes a two-lap, traffic free stage (measured at 3,334m), and there are mementoes for the first three teams and the fastest man and woman in the race.

Proceeds from this year's event will be donated to The Clare School, a community special school situated just around the corner from The Farmhouse on South Park Avenue.
