North Walsham Raiders had to perform at the top of their game to take the points against a strong Diss Saracens side.

The 16-12 win consolidated their second place in Greene King EC One North, with their points coming through tries for Will Minchin and Michael Mulhall and a penalty each for Lee Thomson and Ted Morgan.

Norwich Union returned to winning ways in an entertaining clash with top four rivals Norwich Medics, coming out on top 33-15.

The Union tries came from Simon Pitcher (2), John Spicker, Callum Slaughter and Ben Bond Webster with Simon Bunting adding four conversions.

'We will be looking to snatch third place in the league and this would be a strong achievement and highlight the progress the club has made both on and off the field this season,' said coach Gareth Davis afterwards.

Leaders Fakenham went marching on, beating visitors Beccles 60-0 to make it 11 straight wins.
