King's Lynn Stars' red-hot number one Niels-Kristian Iversen's stunning season continued on Saturday when he qualified for the Speedway Grand Prix Challenge.
The Dane cruised through his home GP qualifying semi-final in Vojens on Saturday just a day after top-scoring for the Stars in their stunning 49-41 victory over previously unbeaten Poole.
Iversen - currently third in the Elite League averages - won the meeting with 14 points and is just five good rides away from booking his place in next season's Grand Prix series.
The 30-year-old will not be joined by fellow Stars team-mates Mads Korneliussen and Kevin Wolbert at the Challenge event in Gorican, Crotia, on September 29, after they failed to progress from their respective semi-finals on the continent at the weekend.
