King’s Lynn Town pulled off a huge FA Cup first round shock with a 1-0 win at League Two Port Vale.
The National League Linnets were indebted to teenager Sonny Carey for his 81st-minute winner – teed up by fellow sub Adam Marriott.
Lynn headed to Burslem with little to lose – and much to gain.
First round winners will now receive £16,972 after the initial allocation of £22,629 was split to allow losing teams to be awarded £5,657.
