Wroxham will be looking for a positive response from Saturday's defeat at Waltham Abbey when they visit a Romford side who they hammered 8-0 at home, writes Thomas Crabb.
The Yachtsmen suffered their first defeat in six games at the weekend – and only their second since New Year's Day – against a dogged Abbots side 2-1.
The defeat signalled the end of four straight wins for Wroxham in a run of results that had propelled them as high as third in the Ryman North table, although the dropped points weren't as harmful as they could have been. The Yachtsmen, fifth, have a four-point cushion over sixth-placed Thurrock.
Romford, 21st, are in the middle of a relegation dogfight, with just one point keeping them out of the bottom three. An enthralling 4-4 draw against Aveley on Saturday – which they came from behind to salvage a much-needed point – will give them hope going into the game.
