Parkruns are all about fun and enjoyment, but there's a new course record holder at Gorleston who made it to the top of the national listings at the weekend.
Danielle Nimmock ran a superb 16:46 at the Gorleston Cliffs parkrun – the best women's time in the UK at the weekend. It was the City of Norwich runner's 18th parkrun and follows a half marathon personal best of 74:13 at the Big Half earlier this month.
Kevin Holland (Crawley AC) is also worthy of a mention as he finished in Gorleston's sixth fastest time ever – 16:16.
Following Holland and Dimmock across the line was Simon Partridge, of the Bure Valley Harriers, in a new PB of 17:02. Great Yarmouth and District AC's Tyler Bilyard also set a PB, finishing in 17:32.
Second female runner over the line was Bungay Black Dogs' Justine Fawcett in 20:38 followed by Esme Abbott (City of Norwich) in 20:54.
