Boxing is an emotional sport, as Jon Thaxton's facial expressions show on the right.
Jono and the hugely experienced Graham Everett are a formidable force down at the Kickstop Gym, with a growing band of young talent. With promoter Mervyn Turner, they were responsible for another quality show last week, with local fans able to parade their talent in front of none other than Tyson Fury, there with cousin Hughie and other family members to see the debut of brother, Young Fury.
It has to be said that nothing was too much trouble for Tyson, as he posed for photos with local fight fans. He and Hughie accompanied Young Fury on his ring walk, but declined to hog the spotlight. It was only when Young Fury won that they jumped into the ring, smiles as wide as those immense fists.
