Sprowston Ladies moved level on points with Bungay Town Ladies at the top of Division One of the Norfolk Women's and Girls' Football League after a 5-0 win over Long Stratton Ladies.

Sprowston moved on to 22 points as a result of their victory - the same as Bungay, who remain top due to their superior goals difference. Sprowston's victory came courtesy of Victoria Leyer's hat-trick whilst Chelsea Brister and Rebecca Kirby were also on the scoresheet.

Sprowston will have the chance to go top this weekend with Bungay not in league action. They are due to take on North Walsham Ladies.

Gorleston Ladies moved up to fourth in the table after their 3-1 win at Stalham Town Ladies. Rosie Cook, Gillie Gillett and Nicole Sheldrake got the goals for the Greens, who will have one eye on third-placed Thorpe United Ladies, who sit two points above them.

North Walsham Ladies picked up their third win of the season in a 10-goal thriller against Wymondham Town Ladies reserves.

Emma Faux (2), Charlotte Darvill, Mary-Anne Hoy, Luci Middleton and Hannah Sturman got the goals for Walsham, who entertain high-flying Sprowston this weekend.

There was just the one match in Division Two as Bure Valley Wildcats hammered Freethorpe Ladies 5-1. Kiera Brown was the star of the show, bagging four goals, whilst Carrie Last was also on target.

Kiera Squires got Freethorpe's consolation.

FC Sprowston remain top of Division Two despite not playing and they will be looking to make it 11 wins in a row this weekend when they take on bottom-placed Costessey Sports Ladies, who are yet to win so far this season.

The seven-a-side Costessey Sports Ladies are enjoying better fortunes as they made it nine wins out of nine at the top of the seven-a-side division but they were made to work very hard for the victory against bottom-placed Hellesdon Belles. Any thoughts leaders Costessey were in for an easy afternoon against the strugglers proved unfounded but Costessey's greater quality told in the end as goals from Laura-Jane Tooke (2), Melissa Rudd, Sarah Morris and Kayleigh Elwood netted all three points.
