They will be looking to hit back by preserving their unbeaten home record with a convincing performance, despite being several front line players short.

Dave Micklethwaite returns to the squad having been unavailable last week but Jonny Payne has joined Nathan Wilson and Nick Austin on the injury list.

Speedster Mike Lawton and fly-half Theo Elliott are unavailable so the back line is rearranged, with Chris Parrott at 10 and Conan Hoey moving to full-back.

Looking ahead to the meeting with seventh-placed Romford, director of rugby David Everitt said: 'After that below-par performance, the players owe it to the club and themselves to put it behind them and, on home turf, show everyone the talent that they clearly have. Last week, the early loss of Jonny Payne and Paul Micklethwaite, a lack of desire to control the contact area and individual mistakes cost us dearly. But I am sure that will be put right.'

Coach Jonny O'Brien added: 'Learning from our mistakes is vital. The real frustration is we didn't do ourselves justice at Wanstead.

Holt, who are on a run of seven straight wins, including one concession, could go top with a victory over Crusaders at Bridge Road if other results went their way.
