Norwich United go into today's tough home game against third placed Canvey Island without a league win in nine games.
Whilst they have picked up five draws in that run, as well as the 7-1 win at Sheringham in the Norfolk Senior Cup, it means they sit just four points above bottom-placed Romford.
The Planters were beaten 2-1 at Grays Athletic last weekend and are looking for their first home win since mid-October but will be without the services of defenders Matt Brown, who looks set to be out until the new year through injury, and Thomas Dade, who is unavailable through work.
The Gulls are making their first ever visit to Plantation Park having been relegated from the Bostik League Premier Division last season.
They look well placed for an immediate return, last Saturday's 2-0 win over leaders AFC Hornchurch moved them up into third place with two games in hand on second-placed Bowers & Pitsea, but they have picked up just one point in their last three away matches.
