Norwich School pupils Charlie Rogers, 16, and Harry Williams, 15, have been selected to play for Sussex U16s against Hampshire U16s next week.

Both players have been selected as a direct result of the cricket academy which was launched in June as a partnership between Norwich School and Sussex CCC. The limited overs game will take place next Tuesday at Sussex's ground at Blackstone.

Rod Bunting, assistant director of sport at Norwich School, is delighted the boys have been selected. 'This is the first stage of our partnership with Sussex and we hope that we will be sending many more of the academy boys and girls for similar games in the future,' he said.

Applications for the academy are still open to both boys and girls aged between 10 and 16 years from across East Anglia. Trials will be in September with the academy starting in November.
