A youthful City Reserve side put in a brave show last night before slipping to a narrow defeat in an exciting Barclays Premier Reserve League clash at Telford.

A swift re-match between the two sides – City beat Wolves 3-2 at Colney last Tuesday – was decided by a late goal from striker Jake Cassidy after the Canaries had recovered from a two goal deficit.

Wolves moved ahead through Cassidy's first goal on 35 minutes and doubled their advantage just after the interval through Louis Harris.

But City weren't finished and skipper Matt Ball scored twice in quick succession in the 65th and 67th minutes, his second a penalty, to draw the visitors level.

Ricky Martin's side look set to take a point back to Norfolk, only for Cassidy to have the final say on 82 minutes.
