Which Norwich City player performed the best in the 4-0 Championship win against QPR? Let us know by casting your vote in the poll on this page.

Not too often this season could you say Norwich City have followed the perfect script. This final day romp came pretty close. Not just for the manner of the attacking thrust and the clean sheet, but the circumstances of John Ruddy's swansong and Wes Hoolahan's coronation as player-of-the-year.

Ruddy was pressed into service just the once, albeit he did treat the home crowd to a display of his dribbling skills with a nerveless foray outside his area in the second period. The big man deserved his lap of appreciation with his young family at the end of a day, you sense, will live long in his memory.

Hoolahan did his best to steal the show with two goals and two assists. The Republic of Ireland international looked fresh and full of energy after a recent injury absence. He was ably supported by both Josh Murphy and Alex Pritchard, who again showed enough against a poor QPR side to suggest they can exert a growing influence on the new-look Norwich next season.

City's backline was relatively untroubled, their central midfield on top, and the end result was a fitting finale to Alan Irvine's reluctant tenure as interim chief. This emphatic sign off does nothing to mask the turbulence of a Championship season which ultimately must be judged as a failure, but Ruddy and Irvine deserved to go out on a high note.

Our Norwich City correspondent Paddy Davitt went for Hoolahan as his man-of-the-match for reprising the type of influential display which secured his long-overdue player-of-the-year award.

You can cast your vote in the poll, which will then continue to run online throughout the week.
