Norwich City have been preparing for their Premier League match against Wigan by taking a warm-weather training break in Spain.

The Canaries are reported to have stayed in Nerja, on the Costa del Sol, until Thursday. They used the sports centre facilities at the Enrique Lpez Cuenca stadium, close to their base at the Nerja Club Hotel.

According to local reports, council sports minister Jos Alberto Tom has invited the team to return to Nerja, east of Mlaga, during the summer. He also hinted that other Premier League teams might be making a similar trip.

Fellow top-flight clubs including Chelsea and Swansea have had similar winter breaks in recent weeks.
