Ipswich supporter Isaac Chenery admits Blues fans have started to dread their clashes with Norwich.

Just how badly do Ipswich fans want the club's poor recent record in the derby to end?

Fans would love nothing more than to register a win against Norwich. It seems a very long time since Town have been victorious in a derby fixture and the longer this run continues, the more you start to dread the fixture coming round. But if you offered us two defeats against Norwich but still have promotion, I think most fans would snap your hands off.

Will revenge for the play-offs be a factor?

That play-off defeat hurt us but I think most people around the club have moved on. It's not something that has come up in conversation in the build-up to this match. We are also very accustomed to play-off heartache. It's more like revenge for six games without a win.

Are you looking forward to seeing a big crowd at Portman Road?

There's no place like a full Portman Road. It creates a cracking atmosphere and brings back memories of the big games over the years. I think the players like having a big crowd. Hopefully they'll feed off the atmosphere and that will lift their performance. Nothing better than thousands of your own fans cheering you on.

Will Mick McCarthy fancy his chances of causing an upset?

I'm sure Mick McCarth, inset, will be the first to admit that it will be a tough game, but will have faith his players can get the win. He's got a side that just missed out on the play-offs last season and has the quality to be top six this season, but you need to pick up points against the likes of Norwich who are tipped to challenge at the top end.

What have you made of Town's transfer dealings?

Mixed to be honest. We recently added Luke Varney to the squad, which is very underwhelming. But the signing of Grant Ward from Spurs has excited a lot of fans, and his hat-trick on the opening day has only raised expectations, he could be the exciting player Town have been lacking for a few seasons. They've also signed Adam Webster from Portsmouth who is a promising defender and looks set to be around the club for a few years.

Is there any chance of a promotion push for Town this season?

They have been punching above their weight for the past couple of seasons to be in and around the play-offs, it will be very big ask to repeat that this year. If they can keep players fit for most of the season and put in consistent performances then they will be up there. However, early signs have been mixed... a great second half against Barnsley on the opening day gave fans hope, but they've not looked like reaching that level since.

Do you think Norwich will be pushing for promotion?

Sadly I think so. They've kept most of last season's team together and added to the squad. They'll also have the money to buy in January if needed. If they are not in the top six, it will be a massive failure.

Which City players will Town fans be most wary of?

Cameron Jerome. He's hurt us in the past and has the talent to do it again. Here's hoping he misses the team bus.

And finally, what is your score prediction?

It will be a tense game, but think it could be quite open. If the Ipswich team that played the second half of the Barnsley victory turn up they have a chance, otherwise it could be a long afternoon. But I'm an optimist and going for a 2-1 Town win!
