Norwich City striker Luciano Becchio is ready to return to former club Leeds United in the January window.

The 31-year-old is back in light training after a heel injury cut short a previous loan stint at Rotherham but Becchio's representative Horacio Rossi has told the Yorkshire Evening Post the Argentine forward would not rule out an Elland Road reunion.

Becchio scored 75 league goals in 156 starts for Leeds during a successful five-and-a-half year stint prior to moving to the Canaries in January 2013.

The big frontman has yet to score in 13 league appearances for the Canaries and has been a peripheral figure under the likes of Chris Hughton and Neil Adams.

Whites' boss Neil Redfearn has reportedly recommended Becchio to owner Massimo Cellino as a potential January transfer window recruit and Rossi admits Becchio could be tempted.

'Leeds is Luciano's home and if they want to sign him they know where we are. Leeds is always going to be a special club for Luciano. It's a club that he loves,' he said.

Redfearn confirmed on Thursday Becchio is on his target list to bolster his striking options.

'He would be one that would give us good competition. He knows Leeds,' he said. 'The ideal scenario is that we get two or three signings in to freshen things up a bit. He's someone I fancy. He's well known at Leeds United, he's scored a lot of goals for Leeds United and he knows the division. He knows the level and he's played in the Championship. For me he'd give us good competition definitely.'

Meanwhile, City team mate Jacob Murphy has completed a loan move to League One Scunthorpe. The 19-year-old will remain at Glanford Park until February 7 although Mark Robins' club could potentially extend the teenager's stay. Murphy was recently forced to cut short a Blackpool stint following a social media gaffe which appeared to mock the Tangerines' plight at the bottom of the Championship.

Ignasi Miquel is also being touted with a possible loan move to Championship strugglers Millwall. The former Arsenal defender made his second start of the season in last weekend's 2-0 FA Cup third round loss at Preston.
