The attacking style played by Fortuna Sittard was a driving force in Todd Cantwell's loan move from Norwich City.
City's academy starlet has joined the Dutch second tier title chasers on loan for the remainder of the season, having recently made his first-team debut for the Canaries.
'I grew up at Norwich City, so this is just out of my comfort zone,' Cantwell said. 'When I heard of Fortuna's interest, I consulted with the people at Norwich. We quickly came to the conclusion that this is a great step in my career.
'Fortuna play with a young team and the kind of football I like to play: offensive football. The club is doing well right now and I really want to contribute to that success.'
Fortuna chairman, Isitan Gün, speaking to his club's website, added: 'We succeeded once again in getting a young, talented and promising player to Sittard. Todd's statistics speak for themselves. He exchanges one yellow and green for the other, so at least he does not have to get used to the club colours!'
