Norwich City frontman Gary Hooper is attracting interest from old club Celtic.

The Scottish Sun claimed on Monday Hooper had been the subject of an enquiry by the Scottish champions regarding a potential return to Parkhead, where he enjoyed a prolific spell in Glasgow before moving to Norwich.

Hooper was on the bench again for Norwich's 3-1 Premier League win at Sunderland on Sautrday, but Alex Neil has opted to start with the likes of Cameron Jerome and Lewis Grabban for the majority of his Carrow Road tenure.

Neil is also in the market for fresh firepower ahead of the transfer window closing on September 1. Celtic are reportedly drawing up plans to bolster their own strikeforce if they can reach the group stages of the Champions League. The Bhoys face Malmo in a two-legged play-off with the Swedes travelling to Glasgow this week.

Hooper featured for Celtic in the Champions League in a three-year stint which saw him score 63 goals in 95 league games to earn a big-money move to England.

Meanwhile Championship new boys MK Dons could be ready to offer Harry Toffolo another spell on loan. The Daily Mail report Karl Robinson is a big fan of the 19-year-old who impressed during a season-long stint at Swindon Town last season.

Toffolo is viewed as a key part of the future under Neil with the Scot confirming recently he wants to secure the left-back on a longer term deal at Carrow Road.
