Robert Snodgrass insists Norwich City's Premier League survival could rest on finding the answer to their goalscoring problems.

The Scottish international was on target at Cardiff City last time out before the Bluebirds struck twice to inflict a damaging defeat on Chris Hughton's squad that sucked them firmly back into the relegation mix. Norwich remain one of the lowest scorers in the Premier League, but Snodgrass admits there is no simple solution to try and improve that worrying statistic.

'If I knew the answer to that I would be the manager,' he said. 'As an individual you can only effect your part in the overall game, but what I do know is we need everyone pulling in the same direction. We are grown up lads who have played the game long enough and it is up to us as wide players to chip in with goals. It takes one bit of magic in two seconds to effect a football match.

'We have had a problem scoring goals and we need to score more. The difference between the sides in this league is a striker who can score 10 to 15 goals and put the ball in the back of the net. You look at Southampton and the likes of (Jay) Rodriguez and (Rickie) Lambert and they are scoring goals. That is the difference in the teams maybe between sixth to ninth (in the table) and the rest. Every point is vital now. We know that.'
