Ricky van Wolfswinkel showed his disappointment when he was taken off at Swansea – but instead of joining his team-mates in the dugout he took his shirt off and headed straight down the tunnel, which left me quite angry and disappointed at his reaction.

I've stuck up for Ricky all season but I can't and won't stick up for him this time. His manager has showed a lot of faith in the Dutchman, especially of late where he's been very lucky to have been starting games.

To show the petulance he did after being taken off was bang out of order. He'd had a shocker all afternoon, causing Flores and Williams no problems whatsoever. He'd missed a decent chance with a header in that 10-minute period when Norwich started the second half well.

Was he really surprised when he saw his number on the fourth official's electronic scoreboard? Did he think he had really done enough to stay on? If he did then I'm afraid he's kidding himself and he really has got big problems if he thinks that level of performance is acceptable.

I remember walking straight down the tunnel at Bramall Lane after Bruce Rioch had decided to take me off for probably the seventh game in succession which had left me very frustrated. At the time I knew I was wrong in doing what I did and after the game I went up to Bruce and apologised and I also apologised to my team mates as we were all in it together.

Bruce just turned to me and said 'Robbo, only one player has ever done that to me before and that was Ian Wright and you're nowhere near as good a player as he was!'. It was brilliant by him and it really put me in my place believe you me, but at least I was in very good company.

It's another big game at Carrow Road tomorrow and it's really a must win game again for Norwich City. To be fair they've been much better at home of late, having not lost in their last six games and keeping five clean sheets. Against West Brom they need the same dominant performance as they gave against Sunderland a couple of weeks ago and if they do this I'm convinced they will win the game.

West Brom manager Pepe Mel has won just one game since taking charge at The Hawthorns and last week he saw his side score a goal in injury time which he thought had won them the game only to see Cardiff score with the very last kick of the game. That would have been a huge body blow for everybody concerned with the Baggies as had they won they would have been above Norwich on goal difference.

I believe three points tomorrow will virtually guarantee Premier League football for Norwich City next season so I don't really need to point out the importance of this game to anyone.
