Norwich City have already booked their first gong of the season – with victory over Arsenal earning the League Managers' Association's performance of the week accolade.
The five-man panel of LMA chairman Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Joe Royle, Dave Bassett and Barry Fry all agreed the Canaries' excellent 1-0 Premier League win over the Gunners at Carrow Road on Saturday was the pick of the bunch across the English leagues.
It also provided City with their first league win of the season.
Manager Chris Hughton will now receive a specially engraved crystal football in a presentation to commemorate the award, which is the eighth F&C Investments gong handed out this term.
Grant Holt's first-half strike was enough to earn victory, while Arsenal failed to bounce back from the defeat on Wednesday night as they lost at home to Schalke 04 in the Champions League.
