It's been a disappointing season at Carrow Road in so many ways.

A campaign that started amid so much optimism following a raft of exciting summer signings has failed to set the pulse racing.

Those star names have taken more time to settle in than any Norwich fan would have liked. There have been grumbles about the style of play, a lack of goals and even, at times, question marks over the desire of the players.

The away form has been poor – thankfully the home record much better.

In defence of the club, injuries have hit hard, and they have managed to at least produce some memorable results, in particular in the win against Tottenham Hotspur and the hard-earned draw with Manchester City. The Canaries have never found themselves amongst the bottom three – no mean feat when you consider how far their fortunes fell in the dark days of League One.

But we are where we are – and tomorrow afternoon Norwich City Football Club goes into battle with Sunderland in what has to go down as one of the biggest games in its recent history.

Safety should be an outcome that every single Norwich fan desires – because the cost of relegation is so great.

Premier League status gives the city prestige, vital income – and the undoubted feel-good factor that comes with being in the top flight.

That is why today we are urging Norwich's fantastic army of fans to try and cast aside their sadness at the season so far – and do whatever it takes to help steer the club away from the drop.

We will be making Yell Army posters available free with papers on sale at Carrow Road on Saturday.

We are appealing to the Yell Army to assemble at 3pm tomorrow and give the players the support that makes Norwich the best supported club in the land.

Sing loud, sing proud.

Sing up to help Norwich stay up, so the Canaries can soar once more.
