Norwich City's Under-21 side beat Cromer Town 2-0 in the quarter-finals of the Norfolk Senior Cup on Tuesday night, reporter David Freezer assesses the progress of some of City's young prospects.
There was clearly plenty of talent on show for Norwich City against Cromer, but there was plenty of frustration from the young Canaries as well.
Cromer stayed strong and did not let the intricate play of the youngsters overwhelm them but, with a little more composure, the Crabs could have found themselves on the wrong end of a big score.
The Norwich lads were trying too hard and over-playing at times, some of them looked rather raw and were taking one too many touches.

Full-backs Harry Barker and Harry Toffolo both looked promising and Adel Gafaiti looked very accomplished at centre-back. Rod Young was a real livewire in attack and in midfield Ray Grant was happy to get stuck in and Reece Hall-Johnson pulled the strings most of the time.
It is big striker Carlton Morris who most City supporters seem to have their eye on as a potential star of the future.
Morris endured a bruising encounter with Cromer skipper Paul Bradshaw and had to stand up strong to some tough tackles from the Cromer players at times
The 18-year-old was desperate for the ball to be fed to him all the time and after wasting a couple of good chances in the first half, got the goal he was looking for in the 68th minute after some good movement to head home a cross from Grant off the underside of the bar.
If Morris can show more of that aerial dominance, learn some tricks of the trade in the Grant Holt mould, then he clearly is an exciting prospect, who still doesn't turn 19 until December.
