Matt Gill wants more determination from his Norwich City Under-23s squad when they take on West Brom tonight.
City take on the Baggies at Aggborough Stadium, the home of Kidderminster Harriers, in their latest Premier League Two game this evening (7pm).
Gill wants an improvement on the standards shown during a 2-0 defeat to Wolves at St George's Park 10 days ago, when a young squad were beaten in the Premier League Cup group stages – leaving qualification for the knockout stages in the balance.
'We probably went into it with two or three feeling sorry for themselves. Going into games feeling 100 percent just isn't a thing in senior football,' Gill told City's matchday programme.
'They've got to get used to that. It's about having the right mentality when you step over that white line and we didn't have enough with that mentality. It's part of their learning and part of their development. It's something they have to learn quickly.'
