Norwich City Under-23s are in action at Colney this afternoon, knowing they will probably need a win to qualify for the Premier League Cup knockout stage.

Matt Gill's development squad take on Bury (12.30pm kick-off), who are bottom of Group C after one draw. Norwich are third behind Bournemouth but tied on seven points – with a goal difference which is six worse than the Cherries.

City's U23s got back to winning ways in Premier League Two last Monday when they beat West Brom 2-0 in Kidderminster thanks to a first half brace from Greek midfielder Savvas Mourgos.

The Canaries will reclaim second place with at least a draw but will then have to wait to see how Bournemouth get on at home against already qualified group winners Wolves on Monday evening.

The PL Cup match had initially been scheduled to be played at Carrow Road but has been moved to Colney to protect the stadium's pitch, ahead of Tuesday night's FA Youth Cup quarter-final against Birmingham City.
