Local dominance was maintained as Norwich City Under-16s finished their season on a high by beating Ipswich Town at Carrow Road.

An early Zak Brown strike from close range, following up a saved Zach Dronfield free-kick in just the third minute, secured a fourth successive victory in the annual Hospital Cup match.

The young Canaries had to work hard to hold on to the win though. Sam Blair denied Town's Zak Brown in the 12th minute, before City's Zak Brown made a goal-saving intervention to deny Lewis Reed 10 minutes before half-time.

Town hit the woodwork twice in the second half and Canaries keeper Blair also did well to deny Brown as the hosts held on, with Spencer Keller having a goal ruled out for offside and Tony Springett seeing a shot cleared off the line for City.
