Norwich City midfielder Josh Murphy will remain with Championship strugglers Wigan for the rest of the season after extending his initial one-month loan.

The 20-year-old has made five appearances for the Latics after originally linking up with City old boy Malky Mackay before the Scot was replaced by Gary Caldwell for the relegation-threatened former FA Cup winners.

Wigan are currently eight points from safety with only three league games remaining. Murphy also made 16 appearances for the Canaries this season.

Twin brother Jacob is currently on loan at League One Colchester with another of the club's former FA Youth Cup winners, Harry Toffolo, impressing at League One promotion hopefuls Swindon Town.

Midfielder Cameron McGeehan is on loan at League Two Luton after an earlier spell this season with Cambridge United. Experienced central defender Michael Turner played 90 minutes in Fulham's midweek home league draw against Rotherham. Club-record signing Ricky van Wolfswinkel completes the City loan contingent at French club St Etienne.
