Sunderland's development squad stand between Norwich City Under-23s and a place in the final of the Premier League international Cup.

The young Canaries smashed the second team of Croatian champions Dinamo Zagreb 6-0 at Carrow Road in the quarter-finals on Monday.

Prior to that match City had beaten Valencia, Celtic and Aston Villa to emerge as the only team to win all of their games in the group stage of the competition.

The semi-final draw was made on Wednesday and saw Norwich handed a home draw, against Sunderland, with Porto to travel to Swansea City in the other tie.

No date has yet been confirmed for the clash but it must be played before Saturday, April 15, and City have confirmed entrance will again be free having attracted a crowd of 2,526 for the Zagreb game.

Sunderland beat Benfica and PSV Eindhoven in the group stages, also drawing with Derby, before beating Athletic Bilbao 2-0 in the quarter-finals.

Norwich are also through to the last 16 of the Premier League Cup, after thrashing Wolves 5-0 at Colney last Friday, but that draw is yet to be made.
