Norwich City boss Paul Lambert revealed on Monday morning Adam Drury, James Vaughan and Marc Tierney picked up slight knocks on the club's German tour as the Canaries gear up for their Premier League bow.
The trio are unlikely to feature against Crystal Palace on Tuesday in the first of three friendlies this week against Football League opposition. New Tottenham loan signing Kyle Naughton will not be involved at Selhurst Park after just returning from South Africa with Spurs, but is expected to link up with the squad later this week.
'Adam has just got a slight knock on his calf at the minute. It's nothing serious,' said Lambert. 'The other two boys just got knocks as well - they're only slight - so we are not taking any chances with them. They've done most of the running and the fitness work. It's not important if they miss the odd game in pre-season as long as they are ready for the first in the league.'
Summer signing Anthony Pilkington has also stepped up his recovery from the broken ankle injury that ruled him out of Huddersfield's League One play-off push.
'He is doing really great at the minute. He has done little bits with us here and there but he is not fully with us at the minute,' said Lambert. 'He is not a million miles away from it, that is for sure, but we'll just continue to monitor him and see how he is himself.'
