Graham Dorrans would ‘relish’ a move to boyhood club Rangers.
The Daily Record claim on Monday Gers’ chief Pedro Caixinha has instructed Ibrox officials to step up moves for his top targets, with Dorrans reportedly high on Rangers’ wish list this summer.
Dorrans still has two years left on the deal he signed in 2019, although the Record claim he is set to leave this summer and would relish a return north of the border. The 30-year-old was a supporter on the Ibrox terraces as a youth before starting his career at Livingston.
Dorrans scored six goals in 24 appearances for the Canaries last season in a campaign disrupted by a knee ligament injury picked up at Reading on Boxing Day. The Scot was restored to the Norwich City line up by former interim boss Alan Irvine over the run in, and scored in the 3-1 Easter Monday win at Preston, but sporting director Stuart Webber reiterated in recent days City will have to sell to raise funds to bring in reinforcements during the transfer window.
Norwich team-mate Steven Naismith is another who has already been touted with a potential Rangers‘ return since the end of the season and fellow midfielder Jonny Howson was also linked with a Leeds reunion ahead of a takeover at Elland Road which is likely to spark a major summer overhaul following Garry Monk’s shock exit last week.
