Brentford are keen to take Norwich City winger Sergi Canos back to Griffin Park on loan.

The 19-year-old Spaniard has barely featured for the Canaries since signing from Liverpool last summer in a deal worth around £2.5million.

That followed spending last season on loan with Brentford, scoring seven goals in 38 Championship games for the Bees.

However, the former Barcelona academy player has made just five first-team appearances for City so far, starting only once. That start came in a poor 3-0 defeat at Birmingham and Canos has since only featured as a substitute in the EFL Cup fourth round penalty shootout defeat at Leeds.

He did score twice in a 6-1 home thrashing of Coventry in the second round of the EFL Cup but has otherwise been limited to game time with City's development squad.

WestLondonSport.com are now reporting that Brentford are keen to take Canos on loan for the remainder of the season, after seeing winger Sullay Kaikai's loan cut short by Crystal Palace.

Canos was also linked with a loan move to Scottish giants Rangers recently but was said to be unsure about a move north of the border.

With the transfer window now open, Canaries boss Alex Neil will have to weigh up whether it is worthwhile getting the youngster out on loan to get his development back on track.
