Norwich City's Simon Lappin saw red at the start of his loan spell at Cardiff City when he was sent off one minute from time in the 2-1 win at Barnsley that took the Bluebirds top of the Championship.
Lappin, who is on loan to Malky Mackay's team until January 1, played at left-back on his debut but was dismissed after receiving a second yellow card for a foul on Reuben Noble-Lazarus. He had been booked for unsporting behaviour in the first half.
Cardiff will be without Lappin for the trip to Derby tomorrow.
