Norwich City defender Russell Martin has been drafted into Scotland's squad for a friendly later this month against the USA in Florida.
Martin was named in Craig Levein's 22-man touring party for the game on May 26. The 26-year-old played in Scotland's last friendly international against Slovenia in February as Levein's men continue to build towards the start of their World Cup qualifying campaign later this year. Martin will be joined in America by Steve Morison and Andrew Crofts who are part of the Welsh squad facing Mexico in New York on May 27. Canaries striker Simeon Jackson is in Canada's squad for World Cup qualifiers next month.
Meanwhile, young midfielder Matt Ball yesterday used his personal Twitter account to state he had been released by the Canaries, although there has been no official confirmation.
