Stuart Webber has moved quickly to beef up Norwich City's recruitment team with his first two high profile appointments since becoming sporting director.
Chris Badlan has left one of Webber's former clubs, Wolves, and is poised to be officially unveiled in the coming days to spearhead the Canaries' revamped European scouting network. Another ex-Wolves colleague, Kieran Scott, is also set to join Norwich as head of UK recruitment.
The new appointments come a week after Webber sanctioned a trio of exits, headed by former technical director Ricky Martin, who along with Lee Darnbrough and Tony Spearing were key figures in the recruitment set-up under previous manager Alex Neil.
Badlan confirmed on Saturday evening he had left his post at Molineux as head of emerging talent, which he had occupied in the West Midlands since October 2015, after Webber managed to entice him away from Paul Lambert's club, where he had spent the past six years.
Scott, most recently, had been part of Mark Warburton's scouting system at Rangers but prior to that was head of recruitment at Wolves for the junior age groups.
Webber has made it clear, since he was unveiled at Carrow Road, addressing Norwich's poor recruitment is a key priority ahead of an expected summer clear out.
The 33-year-old aims to appoint a head coach within 'two to three weeks' of the end of the season. Norwich drew 3-3 on Saturday at Leeds in their penultimate Championship fixture. The Canaries wrap up the campaign at home to QPR on May 7 ahead of an expected busy summer off the field.
