Norwich City's Wes Hoolahan is a transfer target for Middlesbrough, according to reports. The Canary forward is being chased by Boro' boss Gordon Strachan as he looks set to lose his own star, Adam Johnson, to a Premier League club during the January transfer window.

The Canary forward is being chased by Boro' boss Gordon Strachan as he looks set to lose his own star, Adam Johnson, to a Premier League club during the January transfer window.

Hoolahan has allegedly become Strachan's top target as he looks to build a squad capable of challenging for a Championship play-off place.

However, it is claimed any deal may wait until the summer if Johnson does not move this month as he is currently battling against injury.
