Sergi Canos is already looking forward to next season at Brentford, having moved on from his Norwich City nightmare.
The Spanish winger was signed by the Canaries from Liverpool for a reported fee of around £2.5million last summer but made only six senior appearances before being sold in January.
He has since featured in 18 Championship matches for the Bees, returning to the club where he enjoyed success while on loan last season.
'It was a difficult year. To settle down in Norwich and then moving to Brentford and settle down here again,' the 20-year-old said. 'All the credit to Brentford and the fans; they welcomed me unbelievably and I could show what I am.
'I'm nice and relaxed now. I don't want to move. I'm happy where I am. I want to be here and that's all that matters. I'm really looking forward to next season.'
Former City boss Alex Neil started Canos in just two matches, with the former Barcelona academy talent scoring twice in a 6-1 thrashing of League One side Coventry City in the EFL Cup second round but then being taken off after 64 minutes in a 3-0 defeat at Birmingham in the league four days later.
Other than two substitute appearances in cup competitions the winger was consigned to playing for the under-23s, scoring twice in seven matches for the development squad, before City recovered the money spent on the Spaniard by selling him back to Brentford for around £2.5m.
Canos had previously scored seven goals in 39 games during 2015/16 for the west London club and signed a deal keeping him at Griffin Park until at least 2021.
Four goals in 18 matches, 13 of which were starts, saw the City reject rediscover his confidence and help Dean Smith's team finish 10th in the Championship. That was despite a 3-1 home loss to Blackburn, which wasn't enough to prevent the visitors being relegated.
'We would have been happier with a win but what can we do? They played their game and what they knew,' Canos continued, speaking to GetWestLondon.co.uk.
'It's disappointing to end the season on a loss after what we've played in the last few months. It's time to enjoy holidays, rest and be ready for next season. Next season looks amazing.'
