Norwich City's young English midfielders Nathan Redmond and Josh Murphy, along with Norwegian midfielder Alex Tettey and Northern Ireland striker Kyle Lafferty have earned international call-ups.

The quartet join midfielder Wes Hoolahan, who had already been named in a provisional Republic of Ireland squad for a friendly against Oman next week and the opening 2016 European Championship qualifying trip to Georgia, and Scottish duo Russell Martin and Steven Whittaker who face a daunting qualifying trip to newly-crowned World Champions Germany.

Tettey confirmed at Colney on Thursday when he spoke to the media ahead of this weekend's Championship game against Bournemouth he is in the Norway squad for next week's prestige Wembley friendly against England.

Lafferty is included in Michael O'Neill's Northern Ireland squad for their opening qualifer against Hungary on September 7 in Budapest. O'Neill has named a 26-man squad with the 27-year-old's last cap coming in a goalless friendly in Norway in March 2014.

Redmond is part of Gareth Southgate's Under-21s Young Lions' squad for 2015 European Championship qualifiers against Lithuania and Moldova. Southgate's squad is in pole position to qualify with Redmond already making his mark with a hat-trick in the win over Wales Under-21s.

Murphy, fresh from his brace in the midweek Capital One Cup win over Crawley Town, will be part of the England Under-20s set-up for a friendly against Romania's Under-20s on September 5.
