Lewis Grabban will relish the goalscoring burden of firing Norwich City back into the Premier League.

Neil Adams' first signing of the summer was officially unveiled at Colney on Tuesday and the 26-year-old is determined to repay the City chief.

Grabban is not fazed by the size of the reported £3m transfer switch from Championship rivals Bournemouth or the expectation of helping his new club try and bounce back at the first attempt.

Norwich were one of the lowest scorers in the country last season but the prolific Grabban plundered 22 league goals in the Cherries' top-half Championship finish.

'I don't feel any added pressure. I am there to score goals regardless of which team or how much I cost,' he said. 'I wouldn't say I feel any extra pressure to what I put upon myself anyway, which is to go out and perform and hopefully score goals. The price is not down to me. Clubs pay money for players and I can't do anything about the fee, but I don't think its anything to worry about.

'Perhaps at Bournemouth we had just come out of League One and the expectation wasn't there; that is certainly not the case here but I think if you strive to be a good footballer you have to handle that side of it. If not, then there is something wrong with you in my book.'

Grabban was linked with both Cardiff City and Brighton before opting to swap the south coast for Norfolk.

'The ambition of the club was the major attraction,' he said. 'They have gone down but the gaffer and everyone else here wants to give it a good crack at the first time of asking. In my mind I felt it was the best opportunity for me to get to the Premier League.'
