The 28-year-old Frenchman, on a season-long loan from Norwich City, opened the scoring in the 18th minute with a spectacular effort from around 20 yards but saw John Herron equalise for the hosts 10 minutes later.

City left-back Harry Toffolo played the full match as Scunthorpe reclaimed top spot in League One with a 3-2 home win over Port Vale, sending in a low cross to set up Tom Hopper's winner.

Elsewhere in the third tier, goalkeeper Declan Rudd helped 10-man Charlton to an impressive 2-1 win at high-flying Bolton Wanderers. The Canaries loanee has now made 21 appearances for the Addicks this season, playing his second match since missing almost two months through a hip injury.

Remi Matthews was an unused substitute in a 3-0 loss at St Johnston for Hamilton in the Scottish Premiership.
