Norwich City fringe men bid to impress
Norwich City look set to give their fringe first team squad members another chance to impress in tonight's latest Premier League reserve fixture against Swansea at Carrow Road (7pm).
Grant Holt played the full 90 minutes for the second string in the recent 1-1 home draw with Aston Villa before returning to Paul Lambert's Premier League line up with two goalscoring cameos against Liverpool and Blackburn.
Senior professionals Chris Martin, Adam Drury and Simon Lappin are poised to feature against the Swans this evening.
The trio have been regular starters in Norwich's home reserve games this season and were again omitted from Lambert's matchday squad at the weekend against Rovers.
Ritchie De Laet, Aaron Wilbraham and Andrew Surman were also on duty in a decent workout for Ian Culverhouse's side against Villa last month.

Defender Zak Whitbread has been sidelined with a hamstring injury since City's Premier League draw at Chelsea. Lambert reported the American is making steady progress in his fitness battle prior to the weekend draw against Blackburn, but the Norwich boss is prepared to bide his time with Whitbread and the club's longer term injured players.
Swansea have lost to Sunderland and Manchester United away from home in the reserve league this season but former Celtic and West Brom striker Craig Beattie was on target in a 1-0 home win over Fulham last time out - although Beattie has now joined Championship Watford on a short term loan deal.

The Swans' squad is expected to include some of the five Welsh U21 internationals yesterday called into Brian Flynn's squad for an upcoming Uefa U21 qualifier in Armenia. Welsh U21 skipper Jazz Richards has featured regularly in Swansea's reserve plans this season along with defenders Daniel Alfei and Joe Walsh.
City's game against Swansea tonight is the last scheduled reserve home fixture of 2011 before Chelsea head to Carrow Road on Tuesday, January 24. The club's second string face Chelsea away next week before games against Arsenal, Wolves and an early New Year return game with Swansea.
Norwich's only win back at this level came in a 2-1 victory over Everton.
City officials are advising supporters to arrive early to avoid potential queues.
Tickets can be purchased in advance through the normal outlets. The Jarrold Stand only will be open to watch this evening's game. Tickets are priced 3 per person while car parking costs 2.
