Ryman League Premier Division outfit Billericay have announced a pre-season friendly against a Norwich City XI on Thursday, August 4 (7.30pm).

The Canaries have yet to confirm details of their summer programme ahead of the club's Premier League return, but the Essex side expect to face City at The New Lodge in early August. The clubs established a youth tie-up last season which saw Billericay host the Canaries' Essex development centre.

'Our link with Norwich City has worked very well and it will continue next season,' said Billericay chairman Steve Kent. 'We have already unearthed a talented crop of young players, several of whom have been invited to train at the Norwich academy next season.'

Billericay have also announced a planned pre-season friendly against League Two neighbours Dagenham & Redbridge on Thursday, July 21.
