Norwich City have dropped back into the Premier League relegation zone following Sunderland's 0-0 draw with Arsenal this afternoon.

The Black Cats claimed their fifth draw in seven matches to follow up last weekend's 3-0 victory at Carrow Road and move above the Canaries courtesy of a superior goal difference.

The Canaries had been outside of the bottom three since winning 1-0 at West Brom last month and then following that up with a 3-2 win over Newcastle.

Things could have been worse for Alex Neil's team this weekend though, with Newcastle missing the chance to go above them as well yesterday, when they drew 2-2 at Liverpool – coming back from 2-0 down in a spirited effort.

Norwich do not return to action until 5.30pm next Saturday at Arsenal but by then could be three points behind Sunderland, who are at Stoke, and Newcastle, who host Crystal Palace, who play at 3pm.
