Norwich City boss Neil Adams insists there have been no crisis talks with the Canaries' top brass in a bid to revive the club's Championship fortunes.

Adams and his squad came in for heavy criticism after last week's 2-1 Championship defeat to Reading at Carrow Road with a small pocket of fans carrying on their protests outside the ground.

City have won one league game in 10 but Adams revealed at Colney on Thursday ahead of this weekend's trip to Malky Mackay's Wigan he is in regular contact with chief executive David McNally and the club's board.

'I speak to the board almost on a daily basis. It is not a case when you get a call or they speak to you that it is out of the ordinary. It is an on-going thing now,' he said. 'We all know it is about results. They haven't been good enough so we all know at the club and we are under no illusions that we are under-performing in terms of results. We are not playing badly but we are not doing well enough to win games. Of course we were all bitterly disappointed on Saturday, supporters, players, fans. It is moving on. I can't stress that enough. We look and the game and we analyse it but we have to move on.'

Adams delivered a positive injury bulletin, with Ryan Bennett, Wes Hoolahan and Vadis Ofoe all in contention for the Latics after recent injuries.

'It's probably unlikely (for Saturday). I wouldn't rule it out because the players will tell you themselves that they're ready, but it's just a case then of making absolutely sure,' he said. 'What you don't want to do is have them getting an injury – even if it's not the original injury – because they're not quite ready.

'Players will always want to play and it's great that all three of them do, and of course I want them back in the squad as quickly as possible, but we have to do what's right.'

Midfielder Alex Tettey is available after hobbling off in the closing stages of the 2-1 Royals' defeat and Adams has reported no fresh injury concerns.
