Grant Holt scored 78 goals in his four-year Norwich City career. Here are nine of the more memorable goals from the former Norwich City number nine.

1. Premier League

Date: October 22, 2011

Scoreline: Liverpool 1, Norwich City 1

City trailed to a goal by former Canary Craig Bellamy, but grabbed an equaliser on the hour mark when, just three minutes after coming on as a sub, Holt got between Jamie Carragher, Glen Johnson and keeper Pepe Reina to head the ball into the net.

2. Premier League

Date: December 17, 2011

Scoreline: Everton 1, Norwich City 1

Holt put City ahead on 28 minutes after excellent work on the left of the area, not far from the near post. With his back to goal Holt somehow managed to get the ball on to his left foot and squeeze a shot into the far corner.

3. Championship

Date: November 28, 2010

Scoreline: Norwich City 4, Ipswich 1

It wasn't perhaps as much about the quality of the goal as the occasion – the final effort of his hat-trick was directed in from just inside the area with his right foot after excellent build-up play by Chris Martin.

4. Premier League

Date: August 27, 2011

Scoreline: Chelsea 3, Norwich City 1

Holt looked like earning City a draw, but it wasn't to be. Great goal though – as the big man took advantage of a mix-up between keeper and defender and hooked the ball into the empty net.

5. Carling Cup

Date: August 11, 2009

Scoreline: Yeovil 0, Norwich City 4

Another hat-trick grand finale goal, as Holt benefited from a nod-down, travelled 15 yards with the ball and then unleashed a rocket of a right-foot into the top corner.

6. Championship

Date: February 12, 2011

Scoreline: Norwich City 2, Reading 1

Holt gained the ultimate revenge on the Royals by scoring a dramatic injury-time winner at Carrow Road. After being unjustly sent off at the Madejski earlier in the season following a clash with Ian Harte, the City skipper beat the former Leeds man to the ball at the back post to slide home.

7. Premier League

Date: March 4, 2012

Scoreline: Norwich City 2, Wolves 1

Holt eased the Canaries' relegation fears with a delightful double but it was his first of the afternoon that lived long in the memory. Latching on to Simeon Jackson's pass, the striker beat Wayne Hennessey in a foot race before lofting the ball over the Wolves goalkeeper and nodding the ball home.

8. Premier League

Date: October 20, 2012

Scoreline: Norwich City 1, Arsenal 0

After a nightmare start to their Premier League campaign under Chris Hughton, City pulled off a surprise win at home to the Gunners courtesy of Holt's opportunism. Alex Tettey's shot proved too hot to handle for Vito Mannone and Holt gobbled up the rebound to seal the points.

9. Premier League

Date: May 19, 2013

Scoreline: Manchester City 2, Norwich City 3

Holt made his mark on what turned out to be his final appearance for the Canaries with the second goal in a memorable victory at Eastlands. Wes Hoolahan's superb pass picked out Robert Snodgrass, whose centre found Holt at the back post to sidefoot home.
