Mitchell Dijks is enjoying his time with Norwich City and is not ruling out extending his time with the Canaries this summer.
The towering left-back has made 10 appearances since joining on loan until the end of the Championship season from Ajax in January and has made a big impression.
His spell was interrupted by a red card for a clumsy tackle during a 2-2 draw with Blackburn at Carrow Road last month but the Dutchman returned to help demolish Reading in a 7-1 triumph on Saturday.
Having struggled to hold down a starting place since the arrival of Peter Bosz as Ajax boss last summer, Dijks has enjoyed playing regularly in the rough and tumble of English football.
'Finally I am back, I think three games was a lot for me,' the 24-year-old said. 'I was a little bit frustrated but finally I am back and we beat them 7-1.
'It was unbelievable and it was great to be back on the pitch.'
When Dijks was brought in on loan in January, after a prolonged pursuit by then manager Alex Neil, it was suggested that a permanent deal would be possible if promotion to the Premier League could be secured.
With promotion now looking highly unlikely and Neil no longer in post, the landscape has changed for the skilful full-back.
However, he is set for talks about his City future soon, following last week's appointment of new sporting director Stuart Webber.
When asked about his future, Dijks added: 'Next week my agent has an appointment for a meeting with Stuart and we shall see.'
The tall defender was still beaming from Saturday's success when meeting supporters at the Canaries Official store at the Castle Mall in Norwich this afternoon.
Dijks was alongside City winger Matt Jarvis for an Easter holiday event, signing autographs and posing for photos with fans, and said he is enjoying his time in England – during his first spell playing outside the Netherlands.
'I'm enjoying it. I now have a place in the city centre,' he continued. 'I love that, a bit quiet but that's okay for me and the players have been kind to me.
'I love to be on the pitch and I play here and that's the important thing.
'Ben Godfrey has helped me, I go with him to London and other things and that's great.'
