Norwich City full-back Martin Olsson will miss tomorrow night's Championship clash with Blackburn after having his suspension extended by the Football Association.

The Sweden international missed Saturday's 3-0 home win against Watford after being sent off in the 1-0 loss at Wolves for two bookable offences.

Olsson reacted angrily to the decision and slightly pushed referee Kevin Hooper before leaving the pitch and last week admitted a misconduct charge in relation to the incident.

This afternoon the FA have announced that will result in a further ban, meaning Olsson will miss tomorrow night's match at Carrow Road against his former club Blackburn, as well as Saturday's derby clash at Ipswich Town and next Tuesday's Capital One Cup second round clash with Crawley Town at Carrow Road, after the Canaries confirmed they will not be appealing the decision.

The FA have released the following statement: 'Following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing, Norwich City's Martin Olsson has been suspended for three matches commencing with immediate effect, subject to any appeal.

'Olsson, who was also fined £3,000, admitted an FA misconduct charge in relation to an incident which occurred during the game against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday 10 August 2014.

'The charge was that Olsson's action in making physical contact with the referee immediately prior to being shown a red card and for his behaviour as he left the field of play amounted to improper conduct, which occurred outside the jurisdiction of the match officials.'
