Norwich City starlet Josh Murphy scored the sixth goal of his season-long loan at MK Dons but couldn't prevent his temporary team suffering a painful defeat at Bolton.

The Championship's bottom side won 3-1 to pick up just their third victory of the season, with Murphy curling home in the 89th minute to set up a tense finish, only for Shola Ameobi to calm Wanderers' nerves late on.

The 20-year-old winger's twin, Jacob, missed Coventry's 3-0 loss at Southend in League One due to a minor strain.

Another of City's FA Youth Cup winners, Harry Toffolo, was in action in the third tier though as he made his loan debut for Peterborough United. The 20-year-old played the full 90 minutes as Posh lost 2-1 away to new league leaders Gillingham to slip out of the play-off places.

Elsewhere in League One, City goalkeeper Jake Kean could not prevent Colchester losing 3-0 at Scunthorpe.

Conor McGrandles made the first start of his loan return to Falkirk, claiming an assist in a 1-1 draw at Livingston in the Scottish Championship.

Young City defender Cameron Norman started again for resurgent National League North side Woking, in a 1-1 home draw with Halifax to extend their unbeaten league run to seven matches.
