Matt Jarvis is set to make his injury return at Carrow Road this evening when Norwich City Under-23s take on Fulham in Premier League Two.

The former England international winger has not played in almost a year, since injuring his ankle in an U23s game in late March, but has back in full training for the last few weeks.

Jarvis signed from West Ham in January 2016 but injury problems have kept him out of the first team since the end of the 2015-16 season.

The 31-year-old former Wolves and Gillingham forward is poised to join Matt Gill's development squad for his first attempt at a comeback (7pm kick-off), who are chasing a third win on the spin.

Young defender Owen Wallis scored a late winner at a snowbound Colney last Monday to seal a 1-0 win over Bury in the PL Cup but the win was not enough to reach the knockout rounds.

Before that a Savvas Mourgos double earned an impressive 2-0 win away to West Brom in PL2, leaving Gill's squad seventh in Division Two and just a point from the play-offs.
