There had been plenty of speculation about linking Norwich City first team coach Alan Irvine with the managerial vacancy at Glasgow Rangers.
So it was only to be expected that the subject would come up at the Canaries' pre-match press conference, ahead of their East Anglian derby with Ipswich Town, at Carrow Road on Sunday.
City boss Alex Neil took the question – and you can watch his response right here.
Irvine emerged as a leading contender to take over at Ibrox last week as the Glasgow giants drew up their shortlist to replace Mark Warburton, who left the club in controversial circumstances along with deputy David Weir.
City's former academy coach Graeme Murty has been in temporary charge but openly admitted he would be unlikely to apply for the full-time role.
Rangers legend Barry Ferguson is the new hot favourite for the Ibrox hot seat, after he resigned from Clyde following their terrible run of recent form.
